Where this tide comes from
Comber has no station of its own, so we use the tide at Bangor (Environment Agency), 8.5 mi away. On the open coast the difference is usually a few minutes and inches; inside estuaries, rivers and enclosed bays it can be much larger.

Sea state
The wave model doesn't reach Comber: it's on inland water (an estuary, sound or sheltered bay) or far from the open sea. Wind is still available right here.
Wind on the coast and offshore
Cross-offshore wind. The coast faces east and the wind comes off the land at an angle: calmer water near the shore, and bait and boats drift out to sea.
