Where this tide comes from
San Antonio del Mar has no station of its own, so we use the tide at Imperial Beach (NOAA), 10 mi away. On the open coast the difference is usually a few minutes and inches; inside estuaries, rivers and enclosed bays it can be much larger. It is a NOAA subordinate station: its times and heights come from the San Diego (Broadway) reference station with the official corrections.
